This week I did a staff meeting on my inquiry. My Inquiry is about writing and how I have focussed on vocabulary to raise the writing levels of my students. The feedback that I got from the inquiry was very positive. Here is the presentation that I shared with the staff.
The highlights were -
- How can I set my students for success every time.
- Why vocabulary is so important for children to learn.
- How can I design rich tasks for students to recycle new vocabulary.
- How I track my students progress.
Your inquiry questions and process were thorough and you spent time in the scanning and focussing inquiry stages to ensure you had unpacked the issues properly.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your presentation.
What kinds of vocabulary games did the students enjoy most and benefit from? I have used some vocabulary games from ESOL line (effective teaching strategies) like loopy and placing words on clines. I am looking for more vocabulary games to share with teachers.
Do you have any video of your students playing vocabulary games or working on oral paragraphs?
